Workshops Description

Workshops are suitable for all levels.

Yin Yoga: The combination of yogic philosophy with the basic principles of traditional Chinese medicine. Sustained and passive stay in poses, with benefits such as flexibility and calmness, is the main characteristic of the practice.

Hatha Yoga: Through traditional yogic poses (asanas) and breathing exercises (pranayama), we work on activating body and mind, releasing neuromuscular tensions, grounding, strength and balance. 

Talk: During the talks we will be introduced to some theoretical aspects of the process to allow the deepening of the healing experience. Any question will always be welcomed. Bring a note book and a pen, taking notes will help you memorize. 

Meditation: The meditation we will do together is meant to lead us organically in a state of presence. We do so by directing our attention to our perception, our breathing and our sensations. More than a technique, it is an approach to our direct experience of reality. The goal is to re-educate our minds so that this state of presence becomes our normal state of being.

Plant Bath: A healing practice of the Amazonian Medicine; it is used to convey the energies of the plants inside the body. Plants are placed in water and left under the sun for one day, so that their energy can be transmitted to the water; then we bath with this water, so that the plant energies penetrate the body through the skin. In our workshop, we are going to use plants that bring joy, as well as calmness and relaxation to our body and mind.

Partner Yoga: Trough yogic co-exercises, we come closer to each other, we cultivate conscious breathing and trust, we work on communication and collaboration, we explore and rediscover, we co-exist. Heart opens up, mind relaxes and body vibrates! 

Hatha Vinyasa Yoga: A dynamic practice, a movement meditation based on breathing, aiming at the improvement of physical endurance, muscular strength and flexibility.

Raja Yoga: the imperial pathway of yoga that leads to spiritual liberation and enlightenment. The practice includes physical postures (asanas) for the activation and purification of the physical body, breathing exercises (pranayama) for the management of the bioenergetic body and concentration, visualization, meditation techniques (pratyahara, dharana, dyana) for the coordination with the spiritual body. 

Private Meetings & Treatments: Ioanna’s private meetings will include thai massage, vibronics (mixture homeopathy session) and personal yoga sessions. Stephan’s private meetings will include conversation, singing, treatment with plants or perfumes, prescription of plant medicines, basic nutrition guidelines.

Coordinators

Ioanna has been teaching yoga for the last ten years. She leads gentle hatha classes, dynamic vinyasa yoga practice, restorative and yin yoga, yoga for pregnancy, kids and older people. Her lessons reflect her view of yoga as a mean to develop a strong body, an open mind and a courageous heart through an energetic flow with grace, proper alignment and conscious breath. She has completed numerous trainings and workshops on yoga, movement and dance by dedicated teachers in Europe, USA and India. Her mission is to help people develop strength, vitality, good health and a joyful attitude in life. She loves to move; nevertheless she finds peace in stillness.

Stephane has been practicing Amazonian Medicine for over 15 years. He followed a seven year apprenticeship with the spiritual master of the Shipibo people in the Peruvian Amazon. He then spent the next eight years developing a way to use the Amazonian Medicine that is more in line with the needs of modern society. He has worked extensively in Peru, several European countries as well as Russia. He is deeply dedicated to sharing his knowledge and supporting others in their healing process with joy. His work is grounded into a deep knowledge of the Amazonian Tradition.
