What about paying in Greece? The local currency is Euro. ATM’s are widely available, plus other methods of payment for services, via debit and credit card, are available in Greece. Tipping is considered as polite, usually up to 5% of the bill. It would be useful to have cash with you on arrival for small expenses and in areas outside of Athens.

What style of yoga is taught? This depends on your teacher. Each retreat will have a slightly different style. The retreat description will state the type of style that the retreat will focus on but YogaMe caters for all levels of practioners, due to the emphasis on small groups, beginners and experts can be accommodated within the practical sessions.
-

-
What about transport?Attendees need to make their own arrangements for traveling to Greece and for arriving at the retreat residence. Where shuttles can be provided from the port or airport to the retreat, this will be stated in the retreat description. Note that for sea crossings, rates will vary, depending on the vessel type, as well as, on the travel class and the dates of travel. Tickets are readily available on the internet. Payment by credit card is required. During high season, it is highly recommended, to early book your transport to the retreat destination, in order to avoid delays or disappointment. In case, you require help making your travel arrangements, please contact us.

What are the travel entry requirements? Please check with your travel advisory center for detailed requirements. Generally, it is recommended that your passport is valid for at least 6 months after your departure date. Visas are not required for entry into Greece for many countries and for visits of 90 days or less.
-
What about safety during my stay in Greece for the retreat? When you register for a YogaMe retreat, please include information about any allergies, medications, and/or medical conditions, which we can share with your teacher and the retreat accommodation for your own safety. If you are on a particular medication, please be sure that you have enough medication for the duration of the retreat. We recommend that either a family member or friend have a copy of your itinerary and your passport in case of unanticipated emergencies. We will also hold an emergency contact number on file, in the unlikely event we need to contact someone at home. According to the Centers for Disease Control, “Food and water standards in Greece are similar to those in the United States & Europe. Most travelers do not need to take special food or water precautions beyond what they normally do at home.” There are no specific vaccines required and Greece is not in a tropical zone”.
-
Do I need travel insurance?YogaMe recommends that all of its participants get travel insurance before their trip. We cannot emphasize more the importance of comprehensive travel insurance. As we all know, especially as travelers, "life happens". Whether it's family, work, mother nature, or a change of heart, it is important to be prepared in case you need to unexpectedly change your travel plans. Often for a small cost, you can purchase a travel insurance policy and be protected in the event that you need to make a change or need to be covered financially prior to or during your trip.
-
Are there any rules applied during the retreat? We know that all our participants are yogi minded, but we need to mention, just to make sure, we are on the same page of the Patanjali so to speak. Once you book a place with YogaMe Retreats, then you agree that you will follow the instructions of the yoga teachers and organisers on our excursions. Also, no illegal behavior is tolerated on our retreats and behavior considered to be dangerous for yourself or other participants may mean you are asked to leave the retreat, with no liability on behalf of YogaMe.
-
What if YogaMe cancels a retreat? It is unlikely, but due to unforeseen circumstances, YogaMe may need to cancel a retreat. In any such case, YogaMe will inform the participants at least 8 weeks before the start of a retreat and all monies will be returned to the participants.
-
What if I have a complaint? We have never had one yet! But if on a retreat you have a concern or complaint, please let the yoga teachers and organisers know straight away. We take complaints personally and we will do our best to make things right.
